Prostate Cancer promoted by certain hormonal dietary supplements.

According a recent article on ScienceDaily.com, certain hormonal dietary supplements may promote the progression of Prostate Cancer and even counteract certain prescription drugs developed to treat prostate cancer.
Originally published in a January issue of Clinical Cancer Research, the research suggests that cancer patients, specifically those with Prostate Cancer, should educate themselves on the nutritional supplements that they take and understand all the implications of any prescription medications that they may be considering.
The study also calls for a more interactive role of the physician in supporting the health of their patients.

Vaccine for Prostate Cancer? Effective in mice....

Research from the University of Southern California indicates that a recently developed a prostate cancer vaccine may prevent Prostate Cancer. Trials showed prevention in the development of cancer in 90 percent of young mice genetically predestined to develop the disease.
The February 1 issue of Cancer Research suggests that the same strategy might work for men with rising levels of PSA (prostate specific antigen), a potential diagnostic indicator of prostate cancer.
As always, nutrition and healthy lifestyle are still the best approach in preventing any health challenges.
